I need help.  My brother just bought a new wireless router to try and improve our connection speed.  He got the Linksys E3000.  After following the directions, my internet was up and running in no time.  However, I no longer have a connection on my Wii or any of my DS systems.  I kept getting the same error codes over and over again, including 52000 on the DSi.  I checked the support information for Linksys routers and the E3000 wasn't on it.  I'm worried that this particular router isn't compatible, or maybe there were still some settings I need to tweak on BOTH the new router and my game systems.  Please help!

I was able to successfully set up the wii internet connection with my wireless router WRT120N one day, then the next day I had no internet connection anywhere in the house for two days, called Verizon (ISP) and after 2 hours we got the computers back on the internet. Next day, I go to use wii and it is no longer able to access internet. I have tried for 2 hours now...including following the suggestions on your website. When I changed the network mode to bg mixed (or whatever it was), then I lost wireless connection to my laptop (as well as Wii)....

Please help!

Cicso Linksys Network Magic

Error Codes: 52031, 52032 & 51031

CAN'T RECONNECT MY WII

I had a previous connection to my router but lost it.  I can't re-establish the connection.  I've deleted the Wii from the Network and can't add it back.  I have disabled the security locks but still can't add it.  Because I can't add it, the Wii doesn't find any connection.  Can anyone help with this?

I have a wrt54g router, and on my wii connection settings when i run the connection test, it works maybe, 1/5 of the time. when it works it'll work anywhere from 3 hours to 3 weeks! then it wont work again for a long time. The connection test picks up the access point and says i have 2 or 3 bars, but then i get error messages. its either 52130, 52131 or 52132. I've done inputing the settings manually with no better success. any idea? im stumped. my wii was bought the first year they came out and ive sent it off a few months back to get the disc drive repaired. Do I need to send it off again? like i said, it works every once in a blue moon. Its on top of a Dish network receiver and most of the time is on its side.

Hello! I have a Successful Router Connection story of my own.

I have a Linksys WRT320N.

Problem: Everytime I tried to connect my wii to my household wifi, I would get the 51330 error message. I couldn't figure out why, everything I had entered was right. I even tried resetting my router.

Solution: Upgraded firmware, mixed setting, channel 11.  I'm sure that the upgraded firmware played the largest role in getting my wii to connect, because I tired setting the other two things before the upgrade and it didn't work. Even so, I decided to change them after the upgrade before I tried to connect again so I'm not sure if any errors would have been present. But my wii is updating as I type and is connected to the internet.

Hope this helps someone else out there!

I have linksys wrt160N and have similar problems with error code51330.  Used to have a belkin and things worked fine but I didn't have security set on it.  I followed all instructions including cancelling previous setup.  Tried all the security settings (wep, wpa, wpa2).  Previous wireless setup allowed system update so that probably isn't the problem.  The signal strength at Wii console is green.  I keep seeing notes about changing channels.....how is that done?  On the router or Wii?   The router works fine on my computer so the modem and router seem to be OK. ....Help, I'm going crazy

Hi everyone, I don't have any trouble with my Wii but thought I would post this for you to think about.

We have the Linksys 610N dual band router and my Wii connected right away the first time. The thing I am not sure that you know is that the Wii console has a G adapter inside. So you have to make sure your settings for your router are set for mixed or G. Hope this helps.

Good day:

Years later I ran into this solution, but still the steps did not work for me.   Well, the steps did help, but there was something missing in the modem that connects to the internet.

So, I went into the modem configuration, again, the one that connects to the internet and made 2 adjustments that allow the connection to finnally happen.

In the wireless configuration section of the modem, there was a preferred device for connecting to the internet.  That was pointing to a computer in the house, instead to the linksys router.

Also, the encryption protocol to connect to the modem was WEP, instead of the one the linksys router was setup to use, which was WPA2, so I matched in the modem, what was defined in the linksys router.

After doing the 2 changes and rebooting the modem, I was able to connect the WII.

I do not attach screens, as there are many modems out there, but you may want to follow the steps and try to do what we did.

Regards and Merry Christimas to all.

Thanks for the help from everyone.

Juan
